The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office has released an interim report of its investigation into how state liquor stores process large volume, all-cash sales. The investigation stems from questions raised earlier this year by Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky, about what he calls potentially illegal business practices by the New Hampshire Liquor Commission. In the report, released Friday and addressed to Volinsky and Governor Chris Sununu, Attorney General Gordon MacDonald notes that the Internal Revenue Service first raised questions nearly a decade ago about how the New Hampshire Liquor Commission handles bulk sales.
