Governor Sununu made his announcement through a Medium post. He said after taking a deep look at what he termed his path of public service he concluded “Nothing is more critical to our state’s future than ensuring strong leadership in the Corner Office and saving our New Hampshire Advantage.” Some state and national Republicans wanted Sununu, who polls show is one of the most popular governors in the country, to take on Jeanne Shaheen as she seeks a third term in Washington.
