Winds are expected to increase Saturday afternoon across much of New Hampshire, with sustained gusts greater than 40 mph for the southern tier and seacoast region. There is also a flood warning for the Suncook River at Chichester and the Warner River at Davisville. In its high wind warning and advisories, the National Weather Service forecasts that wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are possible for an hour or two -- particularly in the southeastern part of the state. Winds of that strength have the potential to down trees and branches, and result in power outages, according to the report.
